Some things in life are more likely than others.
They say the only certain things in life are death and taxes. But between the moment you are born and that final certainty there’s plenty of room for chance.
For example did you know that 1 in 1000 people are born with 11 fingers or toes?
Which means that in a town the size of Thame, about a dozen people are going to struggle to find a pair of gloves that fit this Winter.
Less certain is your chance of needing medical attention after a pogo stick incident.
Which you’ll be relieved to hear is only 1 in 115,000. And speaking of being relieved, every time you go to the toilet there’s a frightening 1 in 10,000 chance you won’t emerge unscathed.
It’s a dangerous world we live in, but what about those other weird ‘one in a million’ things that are actually far more likely than we may believe.
Like being born with teeth (1 in 3000), finding a pearl in an oyster (1 in 12,000) or cracking a ‘double yolker’ (1 in 1000).
Of course, for many of these you have to be ‘in it to win it’.
You’re not going to be wearing personally harvested pearl necklaces without shucking a few oysters, and avoiding pogo sticks is a sure fire way to beat the odds & stay safe.
With that in mind here at Thame Cars we’re on a mission to monkey with some of our own statistics.
For some reason our customers are 37% less likely to hire a vehicle from us on a Monday compared with the any other day of the week.
We’ve looked at this backwards, sideways and upside down but can’t see any indisputable explanations for the difference.
So we’re going to cheat the system and give Monday’s an unfair advantage.
