At Thame Cars, we offer you a great way to keep your car in peak condition, in a simple and convenient way. In short, instead of thinking in terms of just getting your car serviced, we advise all our customers to consider signing up to our service plan scheme. This will cover any issues which your car might develop within the boundaries you agree with us, as well as all the usual maintenance checks, adjustments and minor repairs. And all for just a manageable monthly payment, so you’ll never have to pay a lump sum for your service.

However, as beneficial as the scheme is, you're not going to want to sign up to yet another monthly outgoing without seeing the full picture first. So, here's the low down on our simple and convenient service plans so you know exactly what you can expect.

Service Plan - How much can I save?

Getting your car serviced might not be the most exciting way of spending your money, but then nor is it always the most predictable. That's why our service plan customers find it so beneficial to have the price of servicing their car 'locked in' so that they know exactly how much they're going to spend on their service and MOT, and when they can expect to pay. Service plan customers typically save around 10% over a 3 year period and because they are much less likely to miss a service often save even more money by catching issues before they develop into something more serious.

What do I need to do?

If you decide to take out a service plan with us, all you need to do is contact us for a quote, you can call us on 01844 854 023 or personalised quote online here. We'll check to ensure all the details the quote is based on are correct, for example the condition of your car and the date of its most recent service. After that you're all set! You'll pay an agreed amount every month, plus a nominal monthly service fee of £1.20, and can look forward to enjoying the stress free motoring experience our service plans are designed to provide.

What if my car needs a major repair not covered by the service plan?

In the event that your car requires extensive work which is not covered by the service plan you have chosen, you can still benefit from the advantages of spreading the cost of servicing. In effect, any surplus money goes into a 'savings pot', which is then available to put towards any major repairs. For example, if you have £200 remaining from your previous monthly payments and your car requires repairs totalling £600, you will only need to pay us an additional £400. You can also save by putting the surplus money towards the cost of your annual MOT and any associated repairs.

Is my car eligible for a service plan?

Our service plan is open to anyone, regardless of the age of their vehicle or whether or not they bought their car from us. If you decide to change your car, our service plans are fully transferable. Just give us the details of your new car, and we will recalculate monthly payments if required.

What if I don't want to continue with my service plan?

As great as we think our service plan scheme is, we recognise that they're not going to be for everyone. That's why you're free to try out the scheme for yourself, without being tied to a long term contract. Should you decide that you do not wish to continue with it, simply let us know and we'll refund any outstanding funds.

Hopefully you'll now have a good idea of what our service plans involve and how they can benefit you. If you have any further questions, just give our service team a call on 01844 854 023, drop by our service station on Rycote Lane in Thame, or contact us via our online chat right here on our website. One of our friendly and helpful car servicing experts will be more than happy to go through the details of your vehicle and your requirements with you to start putting together your ideal service plan.
