Kids movies are so much better these days than they used to be, don’t you think? The big thing for me as a parent is that there’s plenty to keep me entertained as well as the children. Those subtle references or nods to nostalgia that go right over little heads but make me smile every time.
With half term coming here I’m sure we’ll be booking a cinema trip for some full family entertainment! There’s loads of other stuff going on in the local area for kids, and it’s great to see more and more attractions are taking ‘kidult’ entertainment seriously!
A staple in our lists of places to visit, the incomparable Waddesdon Manor is running their usual Halloween Trail. We’ve done this one before and it’s a great way to get your kids scampering about whilst you get to enjoy a peaceful saunter around, imagining that you’re in Downton Abbey, with Frankenstein.
Now, given that it’s October, it’s the smart play to plan in some wet weather activities. The Rogue Bowling in Aylesbury is a great spot for kids as they are geared up for little hands with their range of lighter balls and automatic lane buffers. And when you’re sick of strikes, go and check out their indoor karting track as well.
If you’re planning on heading further afield this half term you might be thinking of booking a free Winter Vehicle Health check to ensure your vehicle is fit for the journey or hiring a car for your trip.
